Injection Mold Guide Positioning System


First. Concept

The structure of the injection mold to ensure that the movable parts move according to the established trajectory is called the guiding system;

The structure to ensure the relative position accuracy between the front and rear molds and between the movable parts is called the positioning system.

 

Second. Necessity

1. The front and rear molds should be opened and closed repeatedly;

Third. Classification

1. Guide bushing and guide pin

3. Middle support edge (E.G.P.)

1) Application

2) Size and quantity design

(1) For the mold base below 4040, use 2 middle supporting edges, the diameter is equal to or 5mm larger than the diameter of the needle;

(2) For mold bases above 4040, 4 middle support edges are used, the diameter is equal to the diameter of the needle.

Sixth. Cone surface positioning mechanism (side lock and tube position)

1. The side locking position is the auxiliary positioning mechanism of the guide post and guide sleeve, which is mostly used for large (above 400mm wide), a deep cavity, and plastic parts with high precision requirements. Installed on the four sides of the mold.

2. The tube position is divided into the cone surface positioning between the A and B plates and the inner mold tube position. The role of the conical surface positioning between the A and B boards and the use of the side lock is contracted, but it is installed between the A and B boards. The inner mold tube is located on the four corners of the mold core and is integrated with the mold core, as shown in the figure.

 

Seventh. The guiding and positioning mechanism of the lateral core pulling mechanism

(1) Guiding the positioning of the lateral core pulling mechanism itself;

(2) The positioning between the lateral core pulling mechanism and the core.
